The empty hallways looked gloomy as Scarlet brushed her fingers against the window, outside the rain assaulted the campus's beautiful gardens and the thunder rocked the world around the lone beauty. She looked like a dark haired angle with her bronzed skin shinning against the lightening glaring through the window. Her petite feminine body covered in chills, shinned like a little golden light and her hard autumn hair glinted with hints of stark white hidden in its waves. "You look sad little Scar" said a voice from behind her. The young woman jumped and whipped around to face the man behind her. "Oh… Hullo Digan-sama." She smiled one or her gorgeous model smiles. He grinned back at her with a facial expression similar to that of a wolf before its prey. "Will you walk with me for a moment?" he asked her. The young woman looked at him suspiciously but knew that he would make her go anyway. She sighed and agreed to accompany the man, following behind him nervously. "Do you have someone you love?" he asked her suddenly
"Oh... Um… yes, I do… but…" She had stopped walking and was looking out the window with that sad face again, pretty and innocent.
"But?" he purged also ceasing to walk.
"He ca—doesn't feel the same about me." She admitted, face a little flush, it was obvious that she did not want to talk about that.
"Oh? But you still reject me?" he asked, a little annoyed, he knew it! He knew it was him. She looked a little shocked as he moved closer to her. "Even though the man you love won't love you, and you obviously don't hate me." Scarlet stepped back, face flushed red, but Nathaniel followed her.
"D-Digan-sama… you're a little too close…" she said as she moved back again; however this time her heel hit the wall and she knew she was trapped. Since she'd left Akatsuki in the classroom, she could only hope that Nathaniel would not do anything perverted. Nathaniel moved in closer, grinning as the little woman pushed her back against the wall. "I won't accept you staying lonely." He told her as she tried to push him away. Smiling he moved away from her and Scarlet let out a deep, relieved breath. He could barely hear the footsteps on the stairs and he knew it was time. He leaned in and grabbed her, pushing his face to hers. Scarlet was momentarily frozen…What the hell does he think he's doing??
Meanwhile, Viola had persuaded the handsome, but unattainable Akatsuki to follow her for a moment. He walked only a step behind her quietly, hands in his pockets and guard still raised. So this was the beautifully famous Akatsuki. He had sad bright green eyes and stylish but long dark chocolate colored hair with a masculine face. He was luscious to observe with his muscles and his style, no wonder that woman was so attached to him. Akatsuki was sure that this woman was going to confess to him, or try to seduce him, that had been happening a lot lately. He sighed softly as he prepared himself to be gentle. As they walked the woman in front of him asked in a very concerning tone "So… do you have someone you love?" He blinked a little taken aback; she was awfully blunt for a girl. He smiled his goofy fake smile and gave a little laugh, rubbing the back of his neck self-consciously. "Um" he started to answer with a little lie when he heard voices ahead; one of which he recognized. He took two steps at a time to emerge at the top of the stairs and quickly moved to find her around the corner and into the hallway only to be frozen in his tracks. Viola rushed up behind him, smiling cruelly.
Akatsuki had rounded the corner only to find gut wrenching pain rocket through him, he could feel every muscle tense, losing the ability to move, his lungs suddenly lost the ability to breath, and his eyes focus all too well on the site before him. Scarlet and Nathaniel stood there, lips interlocked. For that moment, Akatsuki could feel his world crashing around him, painfully shattering all the things he held dear. Her gentle lips… were touching that man… "What's with that look?" asked the girl next to him, he couldn't take his eyes off of Scarlet, but he never noticed how shocked she looked. Viola continued, smiling, "you look like your heart is shattered." Akatsuki bit down hard on his lip hoping the pain and the taste of blood could wrench him away from the sight. He could feel his heart beat strong and broken, a melody of incomparable pain. THWAP! The sound echoed as Nathaniel released Scarlet, her open hand crashing hard against his face. Her face was twisted in anger, but she was still beautiful as she yelled "who the hell do you think you are? Get the fuck away from me!" Scarlet rubbed her wrist against her lips feverously, as if trying to wipe the moment away. She turned to run away and Akatsuki saw tears running down her bronzed cheeks. Scarlet stopped in mid run, facing Akatsuki, an expression of fear and horror on her soft sad face. Nathaniel recovered and jerked the fragile girl back into his firm grip. His expression was halfway a glare, and the other half of it was utter satisfaction, he knew that Akatsuki had seen it all. Scarlet struggled, but he pinned her between his aggressive grip and the wall, leaning in to steal another kiss from the hysteric woman who struggled to escape. "Let go! Let me go!" she yelled as he readjusted to force her to be still. "Akatsuki!" She screamed, tears streaming down her face, "Akatski hel—" she was cut off as Nathaniel put a hand over her mouth.
"I can't have you saying that." He told her, knowing that in this position, Akatsuki could do nothing unless his precious jewel called specifically for help. The girl struggled for a second, and then bit into the flesh of his hand, her enlarged canines tearing into his skin. Nathaniel jerked his hand away and the girl instantly called out "Help me, Akatsuki!!" Viola reached to grab Akatsuki so that he couldn't assist the girl, but in a flash he tore Nathaniel off of Scarlet, who collapsed in his arms, crying. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry" she cried to him, over and over until the sobs and her words mixed together and were no longer discernable. He held on to the sobbing girl protectively as he glared at Nathaniel. "Back off" was all Akatsuki could get out, but the words growled like an injured bear, angry and violent. Scarlet clung to Akatsuki's shirt as he stood cradling her like a child. As soon as he had carried her out of sight of the malicious Nathaniel, he asked her "Are you ok, Scarlet?" The young woman shook her head and through stained eyes she looked stunningly honest as she reached up to lay a hand on his cheek. She looked fragile but through her eyes, so did he. He set her down carefully, assessing her for physical wounds. His big green eyes were still stunned and somewhat sad as he looked down at her, a small crimson stream of blood dripped down his chin from the lip he's bitten. Scarlet whipped some to the blood away and touched his lip softly. "When did that happen?" she asked quietly. Akatsuki looked away from the woman; he could still see visions of her kissing that man, vision that stirred up passion he had to suppress. A sad expression touched the woman's face as she, too, looked away. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have put myself in that situation… or you…" she told him, her voice shaking sadly, "Thank you for saving me."
"No prob" he answered and turned to walk away, "As long as you're not hurt." Behind him Scarlet panicked for a moment and reached out to grab his arm. Her touch was light and warm; it made Akatsuki's heart skip a beat, but he still couldn't look at her after that. "Akatsuki…" her voice sounded pleading, "please… forgive me… I'm so so sorry!" Akatsuki took a deep breath and turned to face the woman he had come to love deeply. Her determined, tear stained face, and trembling hands and lips made his heart twist and twirl like a gymnast. He had never seen someone so fragile and beautiful. She told him again she was sorry with sincerity written on her darling face. He could feel adrenaline coursing through his body, his hair standing on end and his fist beginning to clench. "Why do you keep apologizing?" he all but shouted. The girl looked shocked, tears still flowing freely. "Why do you keep apologizing? You did nothing wrong. I'm not your boyfriend; I'm just your guardian. You can kiss whoever you want… BUT if you don't want them to kiss you…" he hesitated, looking somewhere between frustrated and hurt he mumbled to the side, "I might feel better…"
"What?" she asked, confused
"That night, in the park, when we talked, I meant what I said." He told her, "I… I feel protectively over you. I want… I want you to be happy. But I am awesome feeling selfish right now." Biting his lip again he leaned toward her, starting to lose control.
"Selfish?" she asked, her tears ceased. He looked down at her as she spoke again, "you're never selfish."
"I feel selfish right now" he told her, with a strange look on his face. Scarlet tried to assess him before she spoke again
"How?" She asked, feeling challenged but that feeling soon flashed to confusion when Akatsuki violently pushed her up against the wall, a hungry look in his eyes. She started to struggled, but he caught her wrists and shoved her back against the wall again. He looked angry and determined, it almost alarmed her. "What are you doing?" she asked, failing to struggle out of shock and confusion.
"I want it back" he told her in a growling voice.
"You want what back?" she asked, feeling his breath on her cheek, he squeezed a little harder on her wrists, moving his body so that it was pressed against hers. Scarlet could feel his heartbeat against her chest, it was quick and hard. The boy drooped his head against her shoulder, warm against her skin. Scarlet shivered, she could feel her heartbeat accelerating as he breathed hard against her. She wanted to reach out and squeeze him. His grasp started to loosen as they stood there, pushed together. "Akatsuki…" she mumbled and his grip tightened, he pulled her from the wall and placed her on the ground, somewhat angrily but still gently enough not to hurt her, he pushed his knee between her legs and she started to struggle with him, "what are you doing?" she demanded. He grabbed her wrist and pushed it against the floor. Scarlet used her other hand to struggle with him as he leaned over her, dominating the petite girl. His hunger was overcoming him and he pushed up against her delicate body. Her struggling just increased his hunger and he pushed her struggling away, "I want it all back!" he demanded angrily, "All the places he touched you, I want them back. I want to erase his touch from you, his lips from yours. They're mine and I want them back." Scarlet looked up at him, shocked and somewhat excited, she could feel the adrenaline tingling through her body and she squeezed his shoulder. He pushed his face against her, aggressive and passionate he pried her mouth open and he could hear her muffles whimper. She pulled against him and he wrapped his fingers in her hair, shielding her head from the hard ground. His arms wrapped around her and he pushed his body against hers. His dominance was very evident in their movements as they lie on the floor, loving passionately. Akatsuki released her arm and traced her body as she moaned under his passion. He could feel her trembling underneath his dominance, but she kissed him back passionately. Finally he released her so that they could both breathe, and so that Scarlet could wipe the taste of blood from her mouth since the violent kissing had reopened the wound on Akatsuki's lip. Gasping for breath Scarlet was smiling up at the man above her. "Do you know how long I've wished you'd do that?" she asked him.
"Do you know how many times I've wished I could?" he sighed and began to get off of her, but she clung to him like a child. Big yellow eyes smiling up at him, almost like a challenge. He wrapped his arms under her frail body and lifted her with him. "We can't do this." He stated, though his words cut a hole in his chest, excruciating pain the rocketed through him. Scarlet sighed and bit her bottom lip, but she had no pain in her eyes as she looked up at him. Instead her expression was of determination and also a little bit mischievous. "Don't you think, Nicolai," she said his real name and it made chills run down the mercenary's spine, but she continued, "that it would be a better cover to say you're my boyfriend? It would be an excuse to spend otherwise excessive time together. We could be lovers, and you could keep your professional name." She brushed her fingers through his hair as he contemplated her idea. It was so incredibly tempting. Innocent big honey colored eyes shined curiously up at him. "We don't have to… I just though…" she trailed off nervously, one thing she didn't want is for him to reject her.
"It's a great idea." He told her cheerfully, and hoisted her girlish body so that he could press his lips lovingly to hers. The kiss was neither long or short but still passionate and hungry. She blushed as he said aloud to her, "I'd love to be able to call you my girlfriend, even if it is a mask."
"The real mask" she said, looking sort of hurt, "is the mercenary." She had him so figured out. He lived his life to see her smiling face look at him like she was right now; golden eyes brimming with love and hope.
